Chi Chi Chi...Chihuahua

The kids and I decided to head to Redmond to have lunch with Steve 2 weeks ago. While we were sitting in the office waiting for him, some residents brought in this teacup chihuahua that they found running around the property. Since it was the weekend, and the pup had no place to go, we offered to take the little girl home until the owners contacted the office.
There was NO intention of keeping this little thing! I for one, am allergic to almost everything, and I don't like pee and poop in my house! But she is the best little dog! She is a shorthair teacup, and I haven't had one sneeze attack since she's been here.
Steve finally found the owners (they didn't find him) and we were heartbroken because we knew that we would have to give her back. It turns out that they have lost her 5 times and they really didn't want her anymore. So, one week after bringing her home, we found out that we get to keep her! We love her much! She is a great addition to our family, especially after losing the bunny a few weeks ago. Crazy how those things work out! Her name is Bella Boo and she weighs 4 pounds.

Bella is dressed for church loving on her baby...

Why do I like this?

So I am NOT a "musical" lover at ALL! Infact I am completely annoyed by them. You would think since I love music and dancing, that pairing them up would be a hit with me; but no one ever just breaks out in song and dance in the middle of their day! If I can't relate, then I don't like it. So why in the crapo do I love this show? Seriously, I am going to be so outraged if they cancel it. I love it with all my heart. My new fav for 2009 - for the reals. Check it out. Glee...on Fox Wednesday nights

Catching Fire

Okay, so I read all the time, and rarely post a book, but this one deserves a word or two. It is a series that will not disappoint, other than when you are done you have to wait another year for the next one. Good news if you haven't already started though, 2 of them are already out! The first installment was called Hunger Games. It is a action packed love story that makes you think out of the box a bit. Catching Fire just came out September 1st, and now I am just waiting for Steve to finish so that I have someone else to talk to about it. It was awesome! I was thinking how cool it would be if they made a movie. Well apparently, they are going to! It is set to come out in 2011. I am going to try and block it out until then. But for a sneak peak, there is a fan made trailer that I picked up on youtube. Seriously, there are some people in this universe with crazy time and talent.

Candle Making

Things may have gotten a little out of hand, you think? I melted 100 candles, now what? They smell sooooo good though, can't help it!

I am in TROUBLE...

Oh man. Her best yet, I am not even kidding a little. Holy cow I am not going to be able to focus on anything else until this is over. Unlike some of her books that take a couple hundred pages to get going, this one starts on page 1...My poor family. This is how I look at it though, I may as well get it over with and ignore everyones needs around me for 10 hours straight, instead of dragging it out throughout the whole week, right? If you haven't bought this book, buy and start with caution, for you will not be able to put it down.

I So 'cited

They are filming. Hooray! Summit Entertainment better not screw this up. I thought the pictures of the cast with Stephanie Meyer were pretty cool. I think that it should be released within the year, hopefully. I am trying my best not to even think of it, cuz then the time goes slower. Plus, as all books-made-into-movies go, it could suck. I hope that it doesn't. I think they have a good Bella in their cast, but I a little worried about Edward. Is he good looking enough? Don't know...

Laundry Room Makeover

Our washer and dryer was on the fritz. I have been delaying this for the longest time, not knowing if I should buy a really really nice washer and dryer, or stick to the basics and get something that will do.

Well we just did it. That way there are no regrets, other than when you pay for it :). I have to say it paid off. These babies are the BOMB! I have put clothes in there that have had stains forever, and it comes out in the first wash. Plus the dryer drys in like 30 minutes. Saves a ton of water and electricity. Love it. Thanks Santa Steve!

And ya know, you can't have a new washer and dryer without new paint and shelving! Candice went to work painting and hanging shelves before they brought our pretty new machines. I only had one night to get it done, so it isn't complete. We need a little chair molding up there to separate the colors and we are good! Agh! That stupid disease! What do you do?

I am FREE!

I feel so relieved today. This book has, once again, consumed me. I just can't sit down without picking it up, and once I do that, you can say goodbye to a couple hours. I finished this afternoon and feel that I have freed myself from bondage. I can finally be a mom and a wife again. WHEW!

I loved the book and the ending. I am still mad that no one got their "groove on", but I will get over it. Sometimes its all the stuff before the "groove" that is the fun part anyways. The "groove" can be a bit overrated. Sometimes! I am sure that in the next few days, I will become human again. I am walking around feeling that these things are real. I have never been into fantasy, and never thought that I would love a book about vampires and werewolves. What have I come to? Read them if you haven't. I need someone else to express my thoughts to that will understand me.

I have a Sickness!

So yesterday, the lady from Israel came by again. They are art students that come from Israel and stay for a few months to sell their paintings. You get these amazing oil paintings for around $75 a piece. I had purchased one from them before, but yesterday, I didn't have any cash. But I let her in to see what she has, because I love these paintings!
I bought 3~and had them framed. I am weak, I know. She framed them right at my house. Stretched the canvas and everythings. She had these amazing frames that would cost you a fortune somewhere else. I am so excited! I am not so sure Steve shared my excitement, but he is learning...

John Lennon Music at its Best!~

Steve and I spent an hour tonight trying to figure out what movie preview we had heard this awesome soundtrack on. This is the one. Looks like a crazyfied movie, but the soundtrack is something to write home about. Love, love, love it! There are a lot of John Lennon Songs remixed. Like Hey Jude, I wanna Hold Your Hand, Something, &
All I Need is Love. I feel the peace signs coming right out of the speakers! Listen to some samples:

Must Have

I have had my eye on this bed since we moved here in February. I didn't buy it right away, because I really felt like Addison would probably grow out of it quick. But recently I was back at this website looking at beds for a client and saw it again. I have decided to get it. I would sleep in it if I could. Maybe I will!

So, as long as jobs keep rollin' in, little Addison is getting this for her birthday. Don't you think every little girl needs one?

Life on NBC

Okay, so it's premiere week and I have to admit that I have been spending more time infront of the TV trying to decide what my shows will be this year. I ran into this by mistake ~ but loved it. You can watch it online if you missed it.

I don't watch House, but I think that this has that general feel. This guy is extremely strange, so I can really relate to him. Perfect A++ in my book.

Set an hour aside and see if this is for you!

A Great Link for Music!

So a couple Sundays ago when I sang in church with Steph Hacking, Jan had showed me this website that has all this amazing FREE church music to pick from.

Since I am totally needing an escape I thought it might be a good idea to check out her piano stuff. I am working on "Come Follow Me." (Argh, if you know why I can't get my links to work, let me know)

http://www.defordmusic.com/comefollowme.htm

But she has arranged a bunch of other great music on there if you are ever in need. Of course Jan knows her and has helped her put her music together, since some of it was even too hard for her to play.

So check it out: www.defordmusic.com

Steves Favorite Toy

I can't do a whole blog on myself, the house, and the kids. So I thought of Steve's interests. And currently the only thing that I could really come up with, other than us, is his car and working out. Since I don't think that he is going to pose for any muscle pics anytime soon, I thought that I would post his car on here. Plus its great because when we have no money, it will already be posted to sell!We bought this car and the sales manager told me that this was a wolf in sheeps clothing. I had no idea what he meant, and really didn't care. I just wanted to get the crap outta there. Since then, I have figured out what he was talking about. This is a sports car in a sedan. I have never been in a car that has the speed this does. It is totally fun to drive. It is a Mercedes Benz E-500 and has 469-hp, 5.4 liter, V-8 engine. Crazy stuff. Hopefully Steve stays "speed ticket free". So far so good...And for you Utah folks reading ~ this is not a super glamorous thing here. I promise. 1/2 of Austin population drives a benz or a BMW. It is just the way it is. They are like hondas here. SMILE BIG!

Our new favorite things

Gifts are always hard to purchase for Steve, so when Father's Day came , I searched for the perfect one, and this is what I came across. This is a speaker made for your Ipod by JBL. I bought it at Best Buy, and at first thought it was a rip off. That was until we got it home and out of the package. This thing is awesome, and worth every dime. The speakers, although small, work great and it gets pretty loud. You can also hook this bad boy up to your stereo system or your tv. So if you have any great movies loaded in your Ipod, you can watch them on your tube - that is if you have the right connection on your television. The other great thing: no more carting around a million dvds. We can hook this thing up to our car tv and watch movies or listen to music there. Great for long trips.
