It's Back!

So Steve gets poison ivy flippin' all the time. But he has a bad case of it. Lets just say, he wouldn't let me blog the places where its really bad. Heres a pic of his arm where it is not effected as much. Go down the stomach and into his "waistband" area, it ain't pretty. Poor man. He actually wore my nightgown yesterday cuz having a band around his waste is making it spread. Poor man.

High School Musical

1 Day Room Makeover:
Today was a big day for miss Emily. She didn't know it, but I was at her house at 8am ready to paint and decorate her room this morning. By 4 when she got home, it was done. So much fun to see an 8 hour transformation. She had no idea that her room was being done and was so excited. It was a very fulfilling day!
I purchased most of the accents at Target (college back to school sale). I had a $300 budget and came in almost there at $330, this didn't include paint. But I would say she got a pretty cool room for $330, right? I am thrilled for her. Lots of fun this was. I will remember jobs like this when I am in the middle of one that I hate...

Complete Nursery

A couple of weeks ago, I painted this nursery for Olivia, a new baby girl in Meridian. Somehow, I talked her mom into letting me decorate the whole nursery. It was such a fun job. Can't go wrong with nursery's right?

Up and Coming...

Wow, can you say, "clutter?" This guy is a collector of everything! Anyways, this is my newest project. Painting this room and fixing the fireplace. Steph and I spent Thursday over there and it is already looking 100 times better. Thanks Stephi! Keep updated. This fireplace is going to be quite the transformation...

Crossbone Bunny - Scary!

Michaela got this bunny for her birthday. He is the sweetest thing ever! He even poops in his litter box. I found this shirt yesterday for ferrets at Petco. I didn't think that he would let me put it on him, cuz bunnies are not into that kind of thing - but he did! Your the best Edward. We love you, afterall why have a pet if you can't dress them like a doll, right? The shirt has like a skelton on it for Halloween. I love crap like that!

Candle and Jewel Party

After many days of jewelery making and candle pouring, Steph and I finally had our party! Thanks to everyone who came. We feel like it was a success and appreciate all the support. Hope everyone like their stuff!

Furniture Redo

I finally sold my furniture and bought a new sectional! Happy day. I have hated this leather couch since the day we got it. I recommend stongly that you do not purchase leather from Ashley furniture. It is all crap! I went through 3 leather reselects in 1 year! I decided that as much as I didn't want to own 2 sectional's, that they were the most comfortable for snuggling and watching tv with the fam. I am still no a hunt for a cool accent chair for this room. If you happen to see some with my colors, let me know! I need it so that the room will be balanced. Like any of you care, right? PS: when that green goes out of style, I am going to have to start over~! I love it now, but check back with me in a year.

$100 Makeover

Okay, so I broke my promise -- I had promised Steve that I would only redecorate rooms in our house if we had kept them for 2 years. But, I hated this bathroom the minute I did it. I had leftover gold paint from a client and I thought that it matched my shower curtain well, so I did it. It was all wrong from the get go.
So I repainted it today after work. I had already painted a clients guest room, and was in my paint clothes, so what better time to do this, right? And all for $100, how can he even be mad?
Shower Curtain (Target) $8
Mirror (Kirklands) $20
Art (Kirklands) $45
Orchid (TJ Max) $20
Paint $Free

It's a Girl!

So I have been on call for my client who was due Sept. 17th. She didn't know if she was having a boy or a girl, but she told me as soon as she had the baby, she would call me and she wanted me to go to her house and get her nursery ready for her and her new babe to come home to. 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, all these days go by and no baby! She was so frustrated. Well, she finally had her baby girl. We have not yet decorated this room because the seamstress is getting the bedding ready. But the paint turned out awesome. I am so excited for the end result.
Steve says it looks like a Victoria Secret wall. I think that everyone knows that Victoria Secret's leads to babies, right? This makes total sense! Umm, PS: don't try stripes at home on textured walls...Holy crap it is a pain!

Hearts of Palm

I painted again today. I loved the color and actually came home and used it in my bathroom. Simple room, used for guests, but a little color goes a long way...This color is based off "hearts of palm" by Sherwin Williams, but I had them darken it 50%.
