Weigh In Monday - Week 5

I can not believe it has been over a month already. It has breezed by. The unfortunate news is that I had a terrible week. I felt like I ate fine, but I am putting on weight. I don't know if it is fluxuation or what! I want to cry right now. I thought all day if I should even blog this, but decided that I would to be "real" about what I am going through. Anyways, I weighed myself this morning and I weighed 6 pounds more than last Monday. What the crapola is that? Wouldn't I have to be like stuff my face to put that kind of weight on? Seriously! I feel about the same, so maybe I am holding on to water or something.
Just not the funnest thing. I had no car today, so I haven't been to work out. Plus I started going "tanning" and it didn't work out so well. I went Friday night for 8 minutes in the bronzing bed, got nothing. So I went back on Saturday, and let me tell you people, it is NOT pretty. I am like a strawberry in all the places that you don't want to look like that. My arms, legs, and face of course got nothing. But my stomach and butt - OUCH. And itchy. Dang, it will be a week before I go back at least.
So other than feeling like one of those stupid obese woman that you see walking around the theme parks, yeah the ones that are burnt from head to toe - and you think, "was obesity not enough of a health risk, you want to add skin cancer to it?" That is pretty much me right now. It is not okay at all. I am really pissed frankly and want to crawl in a hole. Hope your Monday is lovely though!

Egg Hunt

Finally posting the Easter Egg Hunt (1 of 3 this year) that we did last Friday. The kids had a great time in the Chen's huge yard searching for their 12 eggs. Addison loves to have her picture taken, my other 2 babes, not so much. Still gotta do it.

"Do I have to?"
Addison and her best bud Maya...
"Okay, I can smile for a minute, but hurry."
Porter loved his mamas chocolate covered peanut butter balls. He got busted a couple times with a face like this. What a cute little dude.

So Close

I am getting there. Today Steph and I grouted the tile that I put up last week. I am in love with this tile and want it in my bathroom! Pictures DO NOT do this bathroom justice. I am so sad that you can not see it in person, cuz Dang! I will be finishing the cabinets this weekend and installing them next week, that will make a huge difference too. I am so excited, not only to be done with this house, but for my clients to have me gone so that they can enjoy their new pad. It makes you happy when you are there.
I have saved some of this wallpaper if you want a sample for you house...

I made this arrangement this morning and had to move it to grout the tile, when I did, apparently, it was too heavy, because the glass just gave and broke all over the place.

I swore a little and then just stood there with my arms crossed. Steph was in the house, which I was unaware of, and she walked in and started laughing at me. I don't know why, but it was kinda funny in some way. I might just leave it like this. What do you think?

Weigh In Monday - Week 4

Easter Bunny - Go HOME! I am ready for a "non-holiday", "non-springbreak" week. I need back to normal for this dieting crap to be successful. I was way surprised this morning when I realized that I lost weight this week. I did fairly good keeping out the sugar bugs, but I ate more than I normally would for my meals. Dang that Easter! How can you not snack when you are camping and egg hunting and having Easter dinner? I am only human here. Anywho, no excuses now. I am back on the wagon. One more month til Hawaii. I would be thrilled to lose another 8-10 pounds. I better work that booty, cuz DANG!

Weigh in Monday - Week 3

I hate this! 3 words for you - NEVER GET FAT! It is just so hard to lose. I did have a loss this week, which I was surprised at, since I am simply starting to feel all blubbery. Is that how you spell that? Well, you know what I mean. If you are a boy, STOP reading! Cuz Dang, no one needs this visual. But this is the scoop on my body, maybe there is someone who can relate. Although, I have a feeling, if you are my friend, that you do not suffer from this.
But, my skin looks better when I am fatter! The more that I lose, the worse it gets. I got a few stretch marks with my kiddos on my belly. Well, as the fat shrinks (and that is where is shrinks first on me), the nastier it looks. Like the skin can't keep up. Now I just look like Albino Hamburger Meat! Disgusting. I am terrified of plastic surgery, mainly cuz I am a wimp and pain pills do not do a thing for me. I have heard that tummy tucks are seriously painful.
Also, my bra, oh let me tell you about that...You can see the bunches of bra material through my shirt. I try to smooth it out, and can't. So apparently I need some new Smaller bras. I am not completely sure that this is enhancing my appearance. And it is so hard. I have only lost 4 pounds total in recent weeks, but a total of 30 from my fattest point. Certainly there will be a payoff approaching that is better than what I am seeing now.

WEEK 2: - 1 pound

Bye Bye Wallpaper

Tiny peak at the bathroom. We just got all the plumbing done on Friday and I started to glaze the plaster today. Can I even tell you how NOT sad I was to see this wallpaper gradually disappear. And these light fixtures! Amazing difference. Can't wait....

Sneak Peak

I have had a ton of people ask me to post some of the stuff that I am currently working on. This house has been a major transformation, but with that, comes weeks of work! I am in love with this room, but we still need to swap out the furniture and do something in the corner where the desk is. Mucho work ahead of us, but it is a vast improvement, don't cha think? My poor painter worked for a week painting on this bad boy! Holy smokes, sometimes you just don't know what you are getting yourself into. I chose a dark brown to trim out the chair rail and the windows to give it the effect of wood framed windows. The only problem is, is that now I want it in my room! Dang...

Zoo Fun

Well, the week of Spring Break is coming to a close. Thank goodness! Steve and I took the kiddos to the San Antonio Zoo on Thursday. Watch the video, it was much fun. All Dylan could obsess about was seeing the Rhinno's. That kid was driving me nuts about it! He asked about them every 5 seconds. I am not sure why he was so interested in them, but that was the highlight for him.

Weigh In Monday - Week 2

What a week! I just figured out that if I make the goal to go to the gym 6 days in the week, I will be lucky to make it there 3. If I start with 3, I might get there 1. This has just been my luck with sick kids. Get better already, I have no more patience for any of you! Anywho, I did make it to work out 4 times this week. I think it helped, but didn't get me quite to my goal. It if funny, because when I do this and set my original goal 15 pounds in 7 weeks, it just doesn't seem like very much weight. Well, when you lose as slowly as me, it is! Thanks for the check up! I am crossing my fingers to get through Spring Break with my kids and their junk food.

Happy 11!

Crazy-ness...11 years. I can't even believe it. It really has speed by, I mean after the first year of fighting, and then the 4 years of being pregnant and breast feeding - it has gone so fast! I feel like we are so lucky to have found one another and that I got to marry my best friend! Seriously...It sounds a bit cliche, but we complete each others sentences. We break out in song (same song) at the same time...It is amazing to think that most people (including us, at times), didn't think we would last more than 11 months, let alone, 11 years! But here we are. My eternal companion. I only wish our daughters are blessed with such great men in their lives.
Love You Steve.
(Picture taken by Michaela last night before our date. Like the "comb over?")

Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day

Well the options were slim last night...10,000 BC (which is every girls dream) or Miss Pettigrew. Since Addison was home sick, we decided to see the show that started first. This was it! I thought it was pretty cute. A little predictable, but cute none the less. Amy Adams, who also stars in "Enchanted" plays the lead roll. I am beginning to wonder how far her acting career will go. She was really great, and so darling that you want to squeeze her, but almost too sweet! Like, what other kind of roll can she play? It had a good message and was cheerful. I am sure 10,000 BC isn't off the "to see" board, so I will be reporting on that soon! As far as this flick, I give it 3 stars!

While You were Out

Last night Steph and Lance took us to dinner for our anniversary. Right before we left, Addison was rolling on the floor with stomach cramps. The kids have all had the flu this past week, and this is how it begins. I knew that within the hour, she would be puking!
We left anyways, and sure enough, PUKE! Every 2 hours, on the hour, she threw up. Lauren told us to go ahead and stay out, they would be fine. As I was downloading pictures this afternoon, I came across these. I guess this is what you have to do to cope with a little girls blowing chunks.
They seemed chirpy enough...

Alarming...

I got an email about the kid that made the "hide out" in our backyard. I am a little freaked out. Are they going to wait until this kid has killed people before they do anything? I am so frustrated at our system...
Here is the email:

Alta Mira neighbors:A very alarming situation has come to my attention about a crime in Alta Mira.Apparently a teenager who I believe is in 10th grade at Bowie high school who lives in the neighborhood broke into a home on Via Grande and stole a gun. Bowie High School sent out flyers and a mass e-mail saying the kid was arrested at school but no gun was found. They then executed a search warrant on the kid's home in our neighborhood and found the stolen gun, along with drugs and satanic markings in his "hide out" which was a drainage pipe in our neighborhood.I don't know this teenager but he needs to be watched by the neighborhood. Everybody needs to be on alert and talk to your neighbors about this.

Weigh In Monday - Week 1

It has been a busy week with lots of eating out. I have tried, for the most part, to make good choices, but eating out in general seems to reek havoc on any weight loss. I am happy to report a loss, although for the first week it is not much. So off to the gym this morning and I will try and stay away from restaurants this week. I keep telling myself that this is going to happen, it is not an "if".

Wait for it...

This gives me some hope...

Edward and Bella - still on my mind

I am still worried that this movie isn't going to be as good as the books. Why does this bother me so? I wish for it to go away. But this Edward that they cast, is not my Edward. It's not okay...

Simply Scandelous

We went to The Other Boleyn Girl last night and holy cow! Unexpected craziness. I guess if you have read the book, you know exactly what to expect, but I had not. I personally loved it and would recommend it to those not afraid of a little sex, scandal, beheading, adultery, lust, deception, and boobs crunched tightly into corsets. If you dig this stuff, it is perfect for you. If it makes you blush, stay far away.

4 Stars man!
