Hawaii, here I come...

Having missed the last couple oppurtunities I have had to go to Hawaii, I am taking this up. My Grandma had a timeshare that I purchased from her from April 18-25. So Steve and I have bought airline tickets for the family - Hawaii, here we come.
Although I can't wait to get to the island, I am in fear of a swimsuit. No seriously!
A few months ago, I accounted for my weightloss on my blog. It proved to be the most effective thing that I have done, I lost 20 pounds in all and have kept it off. Well, I need to lose another 15 before our big trip. So I am going to bore all of you once again to help me with my endeavor. You don't even have to say a word! Just the possibility that someone is checking up on my chocolate intake has proven to help me. I basically have 7 weeks to lose my 15 pounds and fully intend on doing so. I may not feel perfect 15 pouunds lighter, but I know that I will feel a ton better.
So off we go. On Monday, I will be reporting any loss, and hopefully never a gain! Catch you on Monday!

Weigh In Monday - Week 9

So I never have claimed to be a small girl - ever in my life! But I was going through pictures a few months ago and I ran across these. I have a collar bone! What a concept...I want it back - I know that it is in there somewhere. So I will keep this on my blog, to remind me of what my goal is - the collar bone goal!~
Slow week again, but 1 pound a week is better than nothing. I think losing weight is the hardest thing I have ever had to do, next to staying married to Steve that first year!

Weigh In Monday - Week 8
So sorry so late. Crazy Hectic Week!~
Well I knew that it would be an uphill battle - told ya! It seems that when I get off track, it is hard to get back on. It took me a little while to get back on the wagon, which is probably why I have haven't had weight loss. Plus the fact that I was pre-menstral and ate 1/2 pound of chocolate at Jans house last Tuesday. I have learned not to completely deprive myself, but one bite into those Canadian chocolates and I was toast!

Monday Weigh In - Week 7

Uh huh, so with that, I have decided to skip my weigh in and have a clean slate this week. I don't want to depress myself, so I figured it would be better mentally to start again (thinking I am where I was last time I weighed). I promise I will account next Monday! That Melting Pot was the devil.

Weigh In Monday - Week 5

So Jan says that each 3 pounds that I lose is a whole can of Crisco. Is that nasty or what? So far I have lost 4 cans of crisco or a small turkey. I am really starting to notice in my clothes mostly, but I probably don't look all that different to those around me. I can gain 10 pounds and not notice all that much because I am so tall. So I am sure losing it is about the same. I am going to think a can of Crisco at a time instead of trying to take on all 50 pounds. That is way to overwhelming. Sorry that my results are not more exciting. I would love to blog that I had lost another 5, but it just isn't the case. I worry that it is just going to be an uphill battle from here. Lifetime needs to open soon! Thanks for checking in on me.

Weigh In Monday - WEEK 3
Okay, I feel like my metabolism is in starvation mode and is holding onto anything I put into my mouth. I hate to do it, but it is time to start working out. BLAH! I don't like it at all, and would like to fight anyone that says they do. Although I think that Steve really finds enjoyment in it, and it really makes me mad.So, I am going to start off slow and work my way up. No premature shin-splints for me this go around. I guess that is what I have to report, other than my weight loss, which is not much. Maybe it was the shrimp tacos and chips at Hula Hut~!

Becoming Accountable

So, I have spent most of my married life fat, and I am so tired of it. I gained 65 pounds when I got pregnant with Michaela. I lost most of it about 5 months after I had her, then a month later, I was pregnant with Dylan.
I have done just about every diet in the world and have even had my battles with what I call short-term anorexia. Thats where I starve myself for as long as possible (anywhere from a few days to a couple weeks) and then go back to eating the same, and gaining more than before. I think that it has efected my metabolism in a horrific way.
I have never been a small girl, it's just not how I am built. But with all the happiness I should be feeling in my life, I feel that this has been keeping me down and I am to the point where I will do anything to lose it. The problem is is that I am not big enough for gastric bypass and I am not small enough for lypo suction. What the crap is that? When you are still too big for the surgeon to take your money and suck out your fat.
So I had a thought today. I started back on the diet path about 2 1/2 weeks ago. With Lifetime Fitness opening, I thought that it would be good to weigh in every Monday morning and report my findings on my blog. There will be NO before/after pictures, and I am not going to publish my weight (you would have to kill me first); but I will have to update my family/friends as to where I am at. I don't expect that it will be too exciting for you all to read. The process is so slow, but knowing that you might be checking up on me might make me put down the gallon of icecream.

So let me fill you in on my progress thus far. I started 2 1/2 weeks ago and was 7 pounds heavier than I am right now. If I can keep a steady stream of 2 pounds a week, I will be happy. I am on a 16 week plan, ending November 26th. So, according to that plan I should have lost 32 pounds (out of the 50 that is my goal).
WEEK 1: 5 POUNDS
WEEK 2: 2 POUNDS
WEEK 3: TO BE ANNOUNCED MONDAY
I know that I am incredibly lame. But I am really desparate for something that will work. Even if no one is really reading this, I might think that you are, and that is all that matters right?
Thanks for being my friends and supporting me through my insane times!
