Weigh In Monday - Week 5

I can not believe it has been over a month already. It has breezed by. The unfortunate news is that I had a terrible week. I felt like I ate fine, but I am putting on weight. I don't know if it is fluxuation or what! I want to cry right now. I thought all day if I should even blog this, but decided that I would to be "real" about what I am going through. Anyways, I weighed myself this morning and I weighed 6 pounds more than last Monday. What the crapola is that? Wouldn't I have to be like stuff my face to put that kind of weight on? Seriously! I feel about the same, so maybe I am holding on to water or something.
Just not the funnest thing. I had no car today, so I haven't been to work out. Plus I started going "tanning" and it didn't work out so well. I went Friday night for 8 minutes in the bronzing bed, got nothing. So I went back on Saturday, and let me tell you people, it is NOT pretty. I am like a strawberry in all the places that you don't want to look like that. My arms, legs, and face of course got nothing. But my stomach and butt - OUCH. And itchy. Dang, it will be a week before I go back at least.
So other than feeling like one of those stupid obese woman that you see walking around the theme parks, yeah the ones that are burnt from head to toe - and you think, "was obesity not enough of a health risk, you want to add skin cancer to it?" That is pretty much me right now. It is not okay at all. I am really pissed frankly and want to crawl in a hole. Hope your Monday is lovely though!
SMILE!

Weigh In Monday - Week 4

Easter Bunny - Go HOME! I am ready for a "non-holiday", "non-springbreak" week. I need back to normal for this dieting crap to be successful. I was way surprised this morning when I realized that I lost weight this week. I did fairly good keeping out the sugar bugs, but I ate more than I normally would for my meals. Dang that Easter! How can you not snack when you are camping and egg hunting and having Easter dinner? I am only human here. Anywho, no excuses now. I am back on the wagon. One more month til Hawaii. I would be thrilled to lose another 8-10 pounds. I better work that booty, cuz DANG!

Weigh in Monday - Week 3

I hate this! 3 words for you - NEVER GET FAT! It is just so hard to lose. I did have a loss this week, which I was surprised at, since I am simply starting to feel all blubbery. Is that how you spell that? Well, you know what I mean. If you are a boy, STOP reading! Cuz Dang, no one needs this visual. But this is the scoop on my body, maybe there is someone who can relate. Although, I have a feeling, if you are my friend, that you do not suffer from this.
But, my skin looks better when I am fatter! The more that I lose, the worse it gets. I got a few stretch marks with my kiddos on my belly. Well, as the fat shrinks (and that is where is shrinks first on me), the nastier it looks. Like the skin can't keep up. Now I just look like Albino Hamburger Meat! Disgusting. I am terrified of plastic surgery, mainly cuz I am a wimp and pain pills do not do a thing for me. I have heard that tummy tucks are seriously painful.
Also, my bra, oh let me tell you about that...You can see the bunches of bra material through my shirt. I try to smooth it out, and can't. So apparently I need some new Smaller bras. I am not completely sure that this is enhancing my appearance. And it is so hard. I have only lost 4 pounds total in recent weeks, but a total of 30 from my fattest point. Certainly there will be a payoff approaching that is better than what I am seeing now.

Weigh In Monday - Week 2

What a week! I just figured out that if I make the goal to go to the gym 6 days in the week, I will be lucky to make it there 3. If I start with 3, I might get there 1. This has just been my luck with sick kids. Get better already, I have no more patience for any of you! Anywho, I did make it to work out 4 times this week. I think it helped, but didn't get me quite to my goal. It if funny, because when I do this and set my original goal 15 pounds in 7 weeks, it just doesn't seem like very much weight. Well, when you lose as slowly as me, it is! Thanks for the check up! I am crossing my fingers to get through Spring Break with my kids and their junk food.

Weigh In Monday - Week 1

It has been a busy week with lots of eating out. I have tried, for the most part, to make good choices, but eating out in general seems to reek havoc on any weight loss. I am happy to report a loss, although for the first week it is not much. So off to the gym this morning and I will try and stay away from restaurants this week. I keep telling myself that this is going to happen, it is not an "if".

Hawaii, here I come...

Having missed the last couple oppurtunities I have had to go to Hawaii, I am taking this up. My Grandma had a timeshare that I purchased from her from April 18-25. So Steve and I have bought airline tickets for the family - Hawaii, here we come.

Although I can't wait to get to the island, I am in fear of a swimsuit. No seriously!

A few months ago, I accounted for my weightloss on my blog. It proved to be the most effective thing that I have done, I lost 20 pounds in all and have kept it off. Well, I need to lose another 15 before our big trip. So I am going to bore all of you once again to help me with my endeavor. You don't even have to say a word! Just the possibility that someone is checking up on my chocolate intake has proven to help me. I basically have 7 weeks to lose my 15 pounds and fully intend on doing so. I may not feel perfect 15 pouunds lighter, but I know that I will feel a ton better.

So off we go. On Monday, I will be reporting any loss, and hopefully never a gain! Catch you on Monday!

Weigh in Monday - Week 13

Halloween Week - Need I say more?

Not my finest hour and I am here to report that the Halloween Candy is going in the garbage! I simply can't have it here. I gained 2 pounds this week in chocolate and chewy sugar. What? It was so NOT worth it. And the sad thing is, is that I didn't even feel like I ate that much of it. But a little here and a little there apparently adds up to the equivalent of a large candy bar, everyday!

Stephanie is sure that I only gained a pound of fat, and the other pound is muscle. So I am going to stick with that! Tee hee. But I am back on folks. Oh yeah, be prepared cuz I am going to work my butt off this week and lose that 2 pounds, and hopefully another 2. My thighs are so soar today that I can barely walk. That is perfect! Right where I want to be.

Weigh in Monday - Week 12

I don't have much to say this week. I have been a little off track and have seriously eatin more than my fair share of junk food. So my report is actually shocking even to me! To lose a pound at all is surprising. Still can't report the big 20 yet, but my clothes definately feel a lot different. 4 more weeks to go on my 16 week program and I don't think that I will meet my goal of 32 pounds, that is pretty safe to say. BUT, I am feeling much better and I am on my way!~

Thanks for the check in.

Weigh In Monday - Week 11

Wow, I can not believe it has been 11 weeks! That has flown by. I was thinking about it, you can either do nothing in 11 week, possibly even gain, or lose a pound here and there and it starts to add up. I think the exercise helped this week. I can't laugh too hard though; Steve showed me how to use the ab machines at the gym and my stomach is in a twist. Holy crap! So we are at 17 pounds. I can't wait til the day that I can report the big 2 0~ I guess I am going to work extra hard to stay away from the Halloween Candy. Last night we had some left over licorice and m&m's from the movies on Saturday. Everytime I entered the pantry, they just taunted me. I didn't want to throw them away though. So I asked Steve to go and hide them. He looked at me like I was crazy. I told him that I was totally serious. So I hung out in the pantry while he hid the candy. Why have that taunting candy in my house for the whole week? It's just one less temptation to have to deal with, right?

Thanks for the support and check in!

Good Gravy. This is the slowest process. I think that maybe 2 pounds a week was too much to ask for. ? I don't know, I am starting to get a bit frustrated. But I will still take what I can get. Lifetime fitness opened on Saturday, so I got my first real workout in. Hopefully it will help. We will see this week.
Thanks for the check in. I would love to report a great number, but it's just not there!

Weigh In Monday - Week 9

THE COLLAR BONE

So I never have claimed to be a small girl - ever in my life! But I was going through pictures a few months ago and I ran across these. I have a collar bone! What a concept...I want it back - I know that it is in there somewhere. So I will keep this on my blog, to remind me of what my goal is - the collar bone goal!~

Slow week again, but 1 pound a week is better than nothing. I think losing weight is the hardest thing I have ever had to do, next to staying married to Steve that first year!

Weigh In Monday - Week 8

So sorry so late. Crazy Hectic Week!~

Well I knew that it would be an uphill battle - told ya! It seems that when I get off track, it is hard to get back on. It took me a little while to get back on the wagon, which is probably why I have haven't had weight loss. Plus the fact that I was pre-menstral and ate 1/2 pound of chocolate at Jans house last Tuesday. I have learned not to completely deprive myself, but one bite into those Canadian chocolates and I was toast!

The good news is, is since Monday, I can tell that being on that wagon is working. So hopefully I will have something positive to report on Monday. I am 3 pounds away from being at my goal weight for week 8. Not too far off, just another can of Crisco.

Monday Weigh In - Week 7

Bad Bad, Naughty Naughty~

Between having friends in from Houston and my first "full-time" week back at work, I botched any type of dieting this week. I am so scared to even step on the scale. We went to the Melting Pot on Saturday night. Enough said? Watch the video and you will see the cheese that went straight from the fondue, right to my thighs.

Uh huh, so with that, I have decided to skip my weigh in and have a clean slate this week. I don't want to depress myself, so I figured it would be better mentally to start again (thinking I am where I was last time I weighed). I promise I will account next Monday! That Melting Pot was the devil.

Weigh In Monday - Week 6

Well, I definately took a new approach this week. It was called EATING! I pretty much ate anything I wanted, basically because I was in a hurry trying to take care of the family and get back to work this week. I didn't expect too much of a loss and I am ready to get back on the wagon this week. I am hoping that when I get back to it, that my body will go into shock like it did the first week and I will lose more than 2 pounds in the next 7 days. Time will tell.

Thanks again for the check-in. I ought to set aside my $40 in weight watchers money and distribute it to my friends after my 16 weeks is over. You guys are priceless!

Weigh In Monday - Week 5

So Jan says that each 3 pounds that I lose is a whole can of Crisco. Is that nasty or what? So far I have lost 4 cans of crisco or a small turkey. I am really starting to notice in my clothes mostly, but I probably don't look all that different to those around me. I can gain 10 pounds and not notice all that much because I am so tall. So I am sure losing it is about the same. I am going to think a can of Crisco at a time instead of trying to take on all 50 pounds. That is way to overwhelming. Sorry that my results are not more exciting. I would love to blog that I had lost another 5, but it just isn't the case. I worry that it is just going to be an uphill battle from here. Lifetime needs to open soon! Thanks for checking in on me.

Maddening Monday

So glad that I started working out this week-BLAH! This is the benefit that I must get. I guess I gained some muscle or something, because last wednesday, I was down another 3 pounds, then I gained 2 of them back. This is usually where I really start to get frustrated and I give up. But I am not giving in this time. I am still going to keep on chuggin' along.

It also could be the hamburger/artichoke dip that I demolished on Saturday. Or maybe even the 4 slices of veggie pizza I had Friday night in order to keep myself sane at Michaela's party. That was all I ate that day, but talk about emotional eating. I was a mess!

Weigh In Monday - WEEK 3

Okay, I feel like my metabolism is in starvation mode and is holding onto anything I put into my mouth. I hate to do it, but it is time to start working out. BLAH! I don't like it at all, and would like to fight anyone that says they do. Although I think that Steve really finds enjoyment in it, and it really makes me mad.

So, I am going to start off slow and work my way up. No premature shin-splints for me this go around. I guess that is what I have to report, other than my weight loss, which is not much. Maybe it was the shrimp tacos and chips at Hula Hut~!

Becoming Accountable

So, I have spent most of my married life fat, and I am so tired of it. I gained 65 pounds when I got pregnant with Michaela. I lost most of it about 5 months after I had her, then a month later, I was pregnant with Dylan.

I have done just about every diet in the world and have even had my battles with what I call short-term anorexia. Thats where I starve myself for as long as possible (anywhere from a few days to a couple weeks) and then go back to eating the same, and gaining more than before. I think that it has efected my metabolism in a horrific way.

I have never been a small girl, it's just not how I am built. But with all the happiness I should be feeling in my life, I feel that this has been keeping me down and I am to the point where I will do anything to lose it. The problem is is that I am not big enough for gastric bypass and I am not small enough for lypo suction. What the crap is that? When you are still too big for the surgeon to take your money and suck out your fat.

So I had a thought today. I started back on the diet path about 2 1/2 weeks ago. With Lifetime Fitness opening, I thought that it would be good to weigh in every Monday morning and report my findings on my blog. There will be NO before/after pictures, and I am not going to publish my weight (you would have to kill me first); but I will have to update my family/friends as to where I am at. I don't expect that it will be too exciting for you all to read. The process is so slow, but knowing that you might be checking up on me might make me put down the gallon of icecream.

So let me fill you in on my progress thus far. I started 2 1/2 weeks ago and was 7 pounds heavier than I am right now. If I can keep a steady stream of 2 pounds a week, I will be happy. I am on a 16 week plan, ending November 26th. So, according to that plan I should have lost 32 pounds (out of the 50 that is my goal).

WEEK 1: 5 POUNDS

WEEK 2: 2 POUNDS

WEEK 3: TO BE ANNOUNCED MONDAY

I know that I am incredibly lame. But I am really desparate for something that will work. Even if no one is really reading this, I might think that you are, and that is all that matters right?

Thanks for being my friends and supporting me through my insane times!
